Camera bag

Image
A very quick post to show you the "Little Reporter Camera Bag" I finished tonight. My OPAM for this month. Big Boy Kiddizoom came in a plastic packaging but without a bag to carry it around so I made him one. Today I am also back from the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham where I had a great time. I'll post pictures in the next few weeks so please bear with me for now. 'Till later Celine

Hexies and more hexies

Image
For all the hexie fans, there is yet another hexie piece along organised by Melanie at Texas Frecles . What a great idea to make hexies from all your different scraps of fabrics for a charm quilt. I couldn't resist that one either so I got started at the week-end with the fabrics I had in the car and made 9 hexies. That is a small start (don't know how many hexies I'll made in total) but it is (another) start! Celine

A snowflake in progress

Image
We went home this week-end and spent a looot of time on the road so I had some time to stitch in the car(before the darkness). I got started on Dawn's BOM and stitched my first mini hexie flower to make the first snowflake. The hexie are only 0.5'' on the side so there are tiny. Here is my frosty flower: Celine in UK

Hexagon quilt-along pictures

Image
Just a few pictures of my start on the hexagon quilt along. I have sewn all the strips I had in contrasting pairs that I need to cut in triangles. This is the fabric line I am using:migration by Holly Taylor for moda. I am using some strips from a scrap bag so I won't be able to do all the blocks from the quilt-along but I should manage 4 different ones. Block 1 Block 2 Block 5 Block 7: Celine

Another great project for hexie lovers

Hop over to Dawn's blog As Sweet as Cinnamon where she is sharing her new BOM to make a Christmas wall-hanging. I will try to follow her on the journey. Will you? Celine

A week-end makover

Image
Change of decoration in the lounge, that was the week-end programme. Big Boy has gone on holidays with GrandMa on Saturday morning so we decided it was a great opportunity to redecorate the lounge (my idea of course!) with the wall paper we bought about a month ago. We started emptying the HUGE bookcase and then emptied the room before doing the painting during Baby Daughter's nap in the afternoon. Another coat of paint on Sunday morning. Started on the wall-papering (my first time on my own!) in the afternoon at nap time and finished Monday afternoon. I don't have a before/after picture but a work on-going picture: Baby Daughter helped me on Sunday afternoon obviously but we managed to avoid the hands in the wall paper paste which I thought was a great achievement! The room looks a lot different now and so much cleaner. I still needs to make the curtains to complete the room though. Celine
